Laura is an experienced producer who is just as comfortable in front of the camera as she is behind the scenes.

What do you typically help events with?

My background is in theatre, where I have stage managed plays and musicals (in development, world premieres and published), site-specific, immersive work, dance, opera, and choral and classical music. I have been a deck manager, show caller and production assistant for corporate events as well, and have recently been a Zoom session producer for virtual events.

I thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change. I understand the technical side of events, I take care of talent, I can create schedules and spreadsheets, and troubleshoot issues with a smile. I can run your event. I am comfortable and poised on-camera as well!

What's a recent event you've worked on?

Last year I was Event Coordinator of a charity Jazz festival, which was expanding to a city park and needed to source all the equipment and tech elements. The team brought me in to research local companies, submit RFPs, and source everything from tents to fencing to the stage and A/V equipment, as well as oversee everything from load in to load out on the day of the event.

Achievements and Testimonials

SOLID! Laura is a keeper. I have hired Laura numerous times this year as a contract production assistant to represent my company Tempo Live Events, Inc. She has amazing work ethic, rarely sits down and always looks around to see what needs to be done - and then does it! After seeing Laura in action, I immediately promoted her to Associate Producer on a nice size opening ceremonies gig. All of my clients that have worked with Laura give her stellar reviews as well. She has a diverse background as a production electrician, stage manager and producer. I see good things in her future - and in mine if I get to keep her around!

I'm interested in learning more about creating and running virtual events - and I'm a fast learner! I'm also willing to travel, when COVID is no longer a threat.
