Patrick Miller
Independent Security and Regulatory Advisor

Patrick Miller has dedicated his career to the protection and defense of critical infrastructures. As Managing Partner at Archer International, he is a trusted independent security and regulatory advisor for industrial control systems worldwide. Mr. Miller is also the founder, director and president emeritus of EnergySec and US. Coordinator for the Industrial Cybersecurity Center. Patrick's diverse background spans the Energy, Telecommunications, Water and Financial Services verticals including key positions with regulatory agencies, private consulting firms, utility asset owners and commercial organizations.

Carter Manucy
Florida Municipal Power Agency, IT/OT & Cybesecurity Director

At FMPA his responsibility is for OT cyber and physical security as well as NERC CIP compliance. While working at FMPA, Carter has held numerous roles in the IT/OT domain over the last couple of decades while maintaining a passion for cyber security.

Carter holds a SANS GCIP certification, is currently the chair for the Cyber Mutual Assistance Compliance Committee, a voting member for NERC CIPC, and acts as chair/author/member/participant/contributor for numerous other committees, groups and publications in the cyber security and compliance arenas.

David Foose
Emerson Automation Solutions, Security Solutions Program Manager

David Foose is the Security Solutions Program Manager at Emerson Automation Solutions, Power & Water Solutions. In this role, David is responsible for setting the direction of Emerson’s security solutions business including establishing product and service roadmaps, providing sales support and leading the Ovation Cyber Emergency Response Team. David frequently presents on the topics of cybersecurity and industrial control system protections at industry conferences and trade shows and is active in the threat intelligence community ensuring Emerson is able to provide timely notification to its user base regarding current threats and malware campaigns. Previously, David was the Ovation Security Technology Development Manager responsible for the overall design, development and implementation of security controls for the Ovation control system as well as Emerson’s Power and Water Cybersecurity Suite.

Sarah Freeman
Cybercore Integration Center at Idaho National Laboratory (INL), Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Cyber Security Analyst

Sarah Freeman is an Industrial Control Systems (ICS) cyber security analyst for the Cybercore Integration Center at Idaho National Laboratory (INL), where she provides U.S. government partners and private sector entities with actionable cyber threat intelligence, developing innovative security solutions for the critical infrastructure within the U.S. 

At Idaho National Laboratory, Sarah pursues innovative threat analysis and cyber defense approaches, most recently Consequence-driven Cyber-informed Engineering (CCE). As Principle Investigator on a laboratory discretionary research, her current research is focused on new signatures and structured methods for cyber adversary characterization. Following the December 2015 electric grid attacks, Sarah participated in the DOE-sponsored training for Ukrainian asset owners in May 2016. She has also researched the Ukrainian 2015 and 2016 cyber-attacks and the Trisis/Hatman incident.
