Ligeia Zeruto is a Global Alliance leader at Amazon Web Services and a US Army Reservist, serving at the 75 th Innovation Command. Ligeia served 14 years on active duty as a counterintelligence and cyber-warfare officer. She was in the first class of women to attend US Army Ranger school. Ligeia’s final active-duty assignment was at the US Cyber Command and National Security Agency. She was a contributor to the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Workforce Framework Version 2.0 and volunteers for science and technology upskilling activities for Veterans and in under-represented communities in Texas and Maryland. As an appointed Howard County Maryland Commissioner, she focused on veteran employment and military children education issues. At AWS, Ligeia is working with global consulting firms to use AWS Services and Space-related technologies to solve sustainability challenges for governments and citizen-services throughout the world.
She is a graduate of Furman University with a BA in Political Science. Higher education includes an MA in Public Health Preparedness from the Pennsylvania State University, has completed Masters in Chinese Studies at Johns Hopkins SAIS and Master’s Studies in International Business Negotiation from the London School of Economics.
