How To Grow Your Startup Marketing Career
Tori has been a marketer for over 10 years, but her passion for marketing has existed as long as she can remember. She received her MBA in 2018 from University of Colorado with an emphasis in marketing and entrepreneurship, and is currently working for Halp, a local Boulder startup she helped to get started. Her array of marketing knowledge and roll-up-your-sleeves attitude helped guide her switch to the startup life. Her marketing industry background includes Finance, Technology, Cable, Real Estate, and Hospitality.
Sarah E. Brown is a B2B tech marketing leader, author, startup mentor, and ecosystem builder. She is Head of Marketing at Intricately, and Founder of Flatirons Tech, a diversity- and inclusion-focused tech meetup based in Boulder, CO. In search of the lifestyle upgrade, I found myself in the Colorado mountains building the internet from the application layer to the physical network. Today, I'm CMO of CableLabs, the innovation and R&D lab for the global network communications industry. I also founded the US's largest women’s cycling team, Colorado Women’s Cycling Project (now Sol Squad Cycling), Vino & Velo, and LeadOut Sales, a B2B technology marketing firm. When not building companies or brands, you’ll find me on a bike, skis, yoga mat or caring for my three adopted cats.
She has spent the majority of her career implementing complex marketing campaigns amongst teams of marketers, event managers and technical writers in the technology sector. At her core, Simone is a community organizer and youth mobilizer. She is the Treasurer & Director of Finance for the International Indigenous Youth Council (IIYC), a social justice non-profit that serves Indigenous and POC youth in their journeys as young leaders. She’s also the Project Manager for the climate strikes; organized by the Climate Strike Coalition, which is shuttling society into a new era of climate action across the world.
