Health Innovation in a Pandemic - One Year Later
As President of LINUS, Kristin focuses on helping leaders in the health, wellness and life science industries make transformative decisions. For over twenty years, she has worked client-side and as an advisor to the world's largest consumer healthcare, pharmaceutical and CPG companies. She is passionate about changing the way healthcare is delivered and experienced today.
Prior to LINUS, Kristin built and led the healthcare vertical at a global brand and innovation consultancy. She focused on uncovering insights, guiding strategy and fueling innovation for the world's largest brands - including a variety of life science, digital health, and consumer healthcare companies.
Her love for health and wellness started when she spent nearly six years at Eli Lilly launching five blockbuster drugs while rotating through different roles in the sales and marketing divisions.
Kristin's education is anchored in a foundation of marketing and organizational behavior - receiving her MBA for the University of Colorado and undergraduate degree from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
Josh Emdur is a clinician and physician leader with a passion for improving the efficiency in the delivery of primary care. He believes everyone should have access to healthcare that is convenient, affordable, and high value.
He spent over a decade treating the sick in the hospital prior to becoming the Chief Medical Officer at SteadyMD where he launched the world's first virtual primary care practice especially for runners. While caring for hospitalized patients he learned that health is achieved outside of the hospital. Dr. Emdur is board certified in family medicine and is licensed to practice in 37 states.
He is also the medical Director at Clinica Colorado a nonprofit safety net clinic where he cares for those without insurance. Clinica Colorado serves as a model of how primary care can be delivered at a reasonable cost to underserved populations. His interests include using technology to improve the doctor patient relationship and exploring alternative payment models for health care outside of traditional fee for service.
When asked what fuels him in life his response is clear “passion”. Whether it is climbing big walls in Yosemite, striving for marathon personal bests, or just being the best human he can it is obvious that he is driven to challenges and excellence.
