Carly encourages the adoption of a growth mindset and holds every marketer accountable to KPIs and the ROI of their programs. She sees continuous experimentation as the key to providing greater value in every step of the customer journey.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Carly oversees DigitalOcean’s worldwide marketing operations as the company continues to expand its global customer base. In this role, she’s responsible for scaling DigitalOcean’s self-serve and sales-led acquisition initiatives, as well as its global brand, community, and developer relations efforts. Prior to DigitalOcean, she served as Vice President of Revenue Marketing at SendGrid, leading the development of the company’s self-service, cloud-based subscription model.
Beyond her work as a marketing executive, Carly is dedicated to giving back to her community, serving as a board member for Pledge 1% Colorado, a network of entrepreneurs who pledge 1% of company equity, founders equity, annual profits, employee time, or company product to nonprofits of their choosing. Carly is based in Boulder, Colorado, and holds a B.A. in International Business and Marketing from the University of Colorado Boulder. When she’s not in the office, she loves staying active with her husband and two daughters in the exceptionally beautiful outdoors Colorado has to offer.
I am a wife and mom of 3 kids. Despite that, I curse too often and waffle between believing that it is a gross deficiency or a great trait by which my grandchildren will fondly remember me. As a leader, I believe hiring people smarter than I am is a low bar. My role as a Chief Marketing Officer
I have the pleasure of working at JumpCloud as CMO. I joined to help build upon the company’s unmatched organic content strategy, with a broad, multidiscipline marketing strategy. We are adding team members and functions, learning from B2C, learning from our users, and trying lots of different approaches. Marketing sources 100% of pipeline and we hold ourselves accountable for meeting JumpCloud’s growth stage revenue goals.
