Having spent his entire career in the advertising world, Ted has experience working in all areas of media including TV, digital publishing, and data. He has spent the last eight years working in ad tech providing marketing expertise to some of the world’s largest brands. At Smart, he oversees new business development for a range of regulated industries with a focus on cannabis. His work to provide the cannabis industry with access to mainstream digital media has resulted in Smart’s global SSP being the largest source of digital supply for cannabis brands and retailers. Ted also serves as a Senior Advisor on the MJ Foundation Board, which awards marketing grants to cannabis social impact companies.

I have a strong background in corporate messaging strategies, public relations, and strategic communications for corporations, brands, and C-level executives with a passion for helping clients succeed. I serve as the director of public relations for the Marijuana Industry Trade Association-AZ (MITA-AZ), and as a board of the Arizona Cannabis Chamber of Commerce. Outside of the cannabis industry, I have served on the board for the Foothills Caring Corps, and have served other non-profit organizations including Career Connectors, the Carefree/Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce, and the Foothills Community Foundation. I am the former membership chair of the Arizona Business Marketing Association, and a graduate of Northern Arizona University. 

I was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year and the Alliance All-Star Award from ASU West and the Phoenix Business Journal. I have been a professional panel moderator at industry conferences throughout the country, and an invited speaker at marketing associations and colleges to teach others how to maximize media exposure. I was named a "Star Maker" by North Valley Magazine.

She is the President & Founder of Cannabiziac™, a global member-based company helping new and existing businesses tap into the growing $68 Billion industry by providing education, training, access to international industry experts, financial resources, networking events, mentorship, and advocacy. Cannabiziac™ offers on-demand courses, a cannabis-focused incubator and accelerator program, webinars, consulting and coaching services, and coworking spaces. Ann Marie also serves as an educator, consultant, and business coach for Cannabiziac™.  She believes that cannabis is the great economic equalizer through the creation of business ownership, careers, and generational wealth for individuals from all backgrounds.  Cannabiziac™ is an inclusive global cannabis ecosystem and a clearing house for all ideas and issues dealing with the industry from legislation, infrastructure, technology and more. Ann Marie is also the president and CEO of The Mosaic Group, an award-winning advertising, marketing, and government relations firm founded in 2005 and serves clients throughout the US and Caribbean. The firm has managed campaigns and projects ranging from $50,000 to $3 billion.  She has served as an adjunct professor at Palm Beach State College teaching entrepreneurship, small business management, and human relations.  Ann Marie was elected overwhelmingly by 66% of Palm Beach County voters in November 2020 to serve as Supervisor for Palm Beach Soil & Water Conservation District, Seat 2.

Ann Marie earned a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management from Florida A&M University.  She serves on several community boards including the Chamber of the Palm Beaches, Planned Parenthood of South, East, and North Florida, Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), and is the President of Girls 2 Women.  She is a Charter Member of the South Florida Business Journal Leadership Trust, and a member of Leadership Palm Beach County, Leadership Florida, Economic Forum, U.S. Global Leadership Coalition’s Florida Advisory Committee, NABWIC, The Florida Brownfields Association Environmental Justice & Health Committee, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Ann Marie launched three empowerment initiatives: Black Girl Magic Global, Black Business Loop and the National Black Economic Conference held annually.  

She has won numerous awards for her leadership, business acumen, and community involvement including her most recent honors, South Florida Business & Wealth Magazine’s 2021 Prestigious Women Award, South Florida Business Journal’s 2021 Influential Business Women Award, and Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) 2021 Volunteer of the Year Award.

Ann Marie is the author of Chronicles of a Serial Dater, a journey through the good, bad, funny – and steamy – of dating and relationships told through short stories that all end with a tip for the ladies and a tip for the fellas on the lesson(s) learned from each situation.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, music, dancing, golf, traveling, gardening, and meeting new people.
