Navigating the City of the Future
Planning for the future of transportation in cities begins now. The Biden Administration’s focus on infrastructure includes $85 billion for mass transit and $155 billion for EV infrastructure and programs. What does that mean for local transportation and mobility? How can cities design systems that accommodate multi modal transit options and are safe, equitable, and clean?
Waste Makes Haste
The renewable energy transition will require innovative solutions that may come from unexpected places. For example, a landfill, typically the embodiment of a community’s waste, is the source of a creative new fuel supply partnership between CPS Energy and VIA, San Antonio’s public transit authority. In this session, CPS and VIA will discuss their partnership and how it helps improve the environment while providing affordable and reliable service to the community.
Is an eBike Revolution on the horizon?
Electric bicycles or ebikes are becoming more than a leisurely indulgence, they are challenging not just how we view bikes, but increasingly how we view local transportation as well. This session will dive into what’s driving ebike adoption, what aspects of transportation it disrupts, and how cities can plan for and even proliferate a growing cycling populace.
