Berklee EDI’s chair Michael Bierylo, assistant chair Michele Darling, and faculty members, Daedelus, Claire Lim, and Rishabh Rajanwill meet for a panel discussion on their experience in building the EDI principal instrument program at Berklee College, one of the first programs of its kind at a music school within the United States. Topics will include audition requirements, proficiency levels and exams, teaching private lessons, labs and ensembles, and how the program has grown over the past two years. The session will end in Q&A.

This educator’s roundtable is an opportunity for music educators to discuss subjects that are important to music education and EDI instruments in the classroom. All are welcome to be part of the conversation of the future of music education and performance.
Please join us for the closing event of the EDI summit, where Michael Bierylo, chair of the EPD department and EDI program at Berklee, will give final remarks and lead a discussion, with Q&A, on the overall summit experience and future of EDI. We invite summit attendees to contribute to the discussion and welcome your insight, comments, suggestions, and questions. A light lunch will be provided.
