Daedelus (aka Alfred Darlington) is concerned for all things resounding. During a 20+ career synonymous with controllers and Los Angeles' Beat Scene they have performing over 1,000+ shows worldwide, from underground raves to festival mainstages. Producing on labels like Brainfeeder, Ninjatune, Warp, and important upstarts like Albert's Favourites and Dome of Doom. In 2019, just before the world closed, they were founding faculty at the Berklee College of Music's EDI principle instrument program and in 2020 became an artist in residence at S.E.T.I.

The dance orientated sound of British musician, producer and DJ Will “Quantic” Holland has enchanted fans and tastemakers across the world for nearly two decades, showcasing his artistry and rare ability to intertwine the electronic with the orchestral. Now based in Brooklyn, New York after recent years along the Colombian Pacific Coast, Holland has developed a sound that embraces his own love of travel, bridging gaps across cultures and genres.

Presentation: Quantic Artist talk and Performance Practice

"Quantic" is the catch-all moniker for U.K.-born, New York-based musical polymath Will Holland. A world-renowned DJ, genre-blending multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and label owner (Enhanced Music), his work cuts across EDM, jazz, soul, funk, and global traditions from cumbia and bossa to salsa, Afrobeat, dub reggae, and more. He's issued dozens of recordings and garnered hundreds of credits as a composer and producer. His compositions have been featured on the soundtracks to more than a dozen films and television shows. This session will focus on Quantic’s performance practice and approach to electronic musical instruments.
