Japanese-New Zealander composer, jazz musician, remixer and electronic music producer, Mark de Clive-Lowe is an internationally established artist with more than 20 years of experience spanning multiple genres and continents. L.A.-based since 2008, de Clive-Lowe has released close to 20 solo albums and hundreds of collaborations on stage and in the studio with musicians, artists, and DJs including Kenny Dope, Jody Watley, DJ Spinna, Sheila E., Kamasi Washington, Pino Palladino, and Harvey Mason. His remix productions include Shirley Horn, Hiatus Kaiyote, and the Blue Note Records catalog. Recent works have seen Mark take deep-dives into his Japanese roots, interpreting ancestry through the lens of jazz and electronica, and pioneering projects in the web3 music space. He is the founder of Mashibeats—a creator/collector DAO in-the-making; a recipient of the 2021 U.S.-Japan Creative Artists Fellowship, and an active curator and educator.

Composer, jazz musician, remixer and electronic music producer, Mark de Clive-Lowe will be presenting a breakdown of his performance setup, including Native Instruments’ Maschine, sampling, and live effects processing, and speaking about his performance practices. Mark brings an incredible amount of musicianship, virtuosity and dexterity to EDI’s and integrates them seamlessly into his solo and ensemble performances.
