Joy Shanaberger
Boone Group, Founder and CEO

Joy is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Boone Group – a Washington, D.C. based consulting firm that is actively redefining the defense procurement process. Specializing in defense acquisition and cybersecurity, Joy is frequently sought after for her ability to turn strategic theory into successful, detailed tactical approaches that move the needle for Boone’s clients.

Joy founded Boone in 2016 with a singular goal: establish a machine for the advancement and adoption of superior technologies within the national security, energy and infrastructure markets. As Founder and CEO, she is responsible for overseeing company growth (both in revenue and process) and providing senior tactical oversight to clients.
Prior to founding Boone, Joy worked in a variety of roles between federal and local government and the private sector. Most recently, she served the Office of the Secretary of Defense as a Senior Strategist and was responsible for communications as it applied to the defense industrial base and international weapons program development. Joy also served as the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology & Logistics’ (AT&L) primary speechwriter and was routinely sought after by communications teams for the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense for assistance on communications within the AT&L domain.

Joy received her M.B.A with a specialization in Cybersecurity from the George Washington School of Business in 2015 and is a graduate of Columbia College, Chicago, where she earned a B.A. in Marketing
Communications and Political Science. She also studied program management at Defense Acquisition University.

In addition to leading growth and execution for Boone, Joy is a certified yoga instructor, member of the National Community Church, and spends much of her free time training for an annual charity boxing match benefitting the military and veteran communities.

Larry Letow
Interprise Partners, Operating Partner

Larry Letow is the Operating Partner for Interprise Partners, a Private Equity firm, located in Columbia, MD. Mr. Letow’s responsibilities include helping the portfolio companies grow within the federal marketplace, optimize profitability, and work side-by-side Executive Team. Mr. Letow has a strong background in Cybersecurity technology services and products for federal/state governments and commercial industries. Mr. Letow’s most recent entrepreneurial history includes CEO/President of Intelligent ID, a cybersecurity software product company and CEO/President of Convergence Technology Consulting, a technology services company. In addition, he has an ownership stake in several other companies.

Letow currently serves the cyber/technology community in many capacities. He is presently Chair and Co-Founder for the National Cyber Security Hall of Fame. He serves on the Board for the Governors Workforce Development Board, State of Maryland Cyber Task Commission, CyberUSA and the State of Maryland 2.0 Cyber Maryland Board. He is Chairman-emeritus of the Tech Council of Maryland and GovConnects.

He is a re-occurring author for the US Cyber Security Magazine and has authored many other industry articles. He has also appeared multiple times on the Federal News Radio discussing “growing your business” in the federal marketplace. His philanthropic activities include serving on the Board of Visitors for Towson University and the Foundation Board for the University Systems of Maryland. He is very involved in multiple charities to include: Chair for Respite Retreats and Board Member for Cystic Fibrosis. He is also Chairman-emeritus for Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults and The Little Things for Cancer.

Naveen Krishnamurthy
Riva Solutions, Founder and CEO

Naveen Krishnamurthy is an accomplished two-time business owner and CEO. Since starting RIVA ten years ago, Naveen has worked to define a culture that inspires employees to consider their relationships with each other and their clients, while achieving unimaginable personal and professional development.

While focused on the basics of results innovation values and accountability (what RIVA stands for), Naveen is better known for his out-of-the-box and disruptive thinking. Through social media, he shares real-time vision with his team and the community, demanding and inspiring action that betters government.

His passion and perspective have earned him opportunities to work on high profile Federal programs, speak on Executive Leadership panels, support nonprofit boards, mentor small businesses, and earn industry accolades -- most notably, the prestigious Fed 100.

Early in his career, Naveen established himself in Silicon Valley during the dot-com era after earning a triple degree and Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland. After twenty years of working for government contracting giants, Booz Allen and CACI, he has established himself as an influencer in the Federal contracting community. Naveen is happiest learning while still mentoring others. He is a loyal Washington Capitals fan and doting father to daughter Mia and son Rohan.

Riya Patel
Dcode, Government Program Manager

Riya Patel is a Program Manager for Dcode’s Government Engagement team. On the government team, Riya works to connect Dcode’s portfolio of 70+ accelerator alumni, training alumni, and Dcode’s extensive network of government innovators. She is dedicated to improving the jobs of servicemembers and civilians through the implementation of better technology and cultural reform that embraces innovation. Riya previously spent time at the Defense Innovation Board, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment, and the Intelligence Community. She holds a BA from Tufts University in International Security & Russian Language.
