Ben Matthews
Stack Overflow, Director of Engineering

Ben Matthews is a Director of Engineering at Stack Overflow with nearly 20 years of experience in developing technology and building high-performance technical teams. He’s passionate about helping people grow in their roles and empowering people to build great things. In his current role, Ben is responsible for helping to grow the vibrant community that visits Stack Overflow everyday, which includes features on the public platform and building the company’s robust SaaS product suite. Prior to joining Stack, Ben held various developer and management roles at high-growth startups including Cvent, Cox Media Group, Moxie Interactive, and others. He holds a B.S. in business and computer science from Oglethorpe University and an MBA in business and technology from Georgia State University. 

The tech industry resignations rank among the highest with a 4.5% increase in departures compared to 2020 (HBR). Yet, the last two years have seen unprecedented growth across nearly every technology-driven industry. High growth and turnover compounded make for even more go-to-market challenges.
