Kirsten K. Shockey is the co-author of bestselling Fermented Vegetables; Fiery Ferments; Miso, Tempeh, Natto and Other Tasty Ferments;  The Big Book of Cidermaking; and the new Homebrewed Vinegar. These books came from her desire to help people eat in new ways, for their own health, the health of the planet, and to push these culinary arts to new flavors.
