Franco De Cesare is currently the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of Emerge, a company focused on creating a platform for true virtual interpersonal connections, using a proprietary consumer device (which uses ultrasound to create force fields) to add tactility to digital shared environments.
Previously Franco served as the Director of Global Gaming at Facebook, where he established the Console and Cross-Platform Gaming vertical, leading to the launch of Facebook Gaming.
Prior to joining Facebook, Franco was the Head of Platform Marketing at PlayStation, where he was responsible for Brand Marketing, Product Planning and Portfolio Management for the PlayStation 4 Platform, which brought the PlayStation brand back to #1 position in Gaming. He led the go-to-market strategy and execution, for the PlayStation 4 launch in North America, the most successful console launch in history, as well as the launch of PSVR..
Franco is a veteran marketer, having held senior positions at a number of well-known brands across the Entertainment, Gaming and CPG industries—including CMO of EuropaCorp; SVP of Marketing at 20th Century Fox; Head of International Marketing at DreamWorks; European Marketing Director for Nintendo; and International Brand Manager at Unilever.
Franco sits on the Board of Governors for PromaxGAMES, he is a Mentor and Guest Lecturer on the Gaming Industry at USC Marshall School of Business, and holds an MBA in Economics from Sapienza University of Rome, from which he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
