Ron Stubblefield
Jumpstart, Entrepreneur-in-Residence

Ron Stubblefield is a nationally recognized lawyer, scholar, economic development professional and entrepreneurial advisor. As a shared Entrepreneur-in-Residence, he acts as a collaborative resource for the Economic Community Development Institute, the Hispanic Business Center, The Presidents’ Council, The Urban League of Greater Cleveland and JumpStart. Ron works with these organizations to advance Black and Brown tech and tech-enabled entrepreneurship within the City of Cleveland.

In this role, Ron coordinates community and neighborhood outreach and programming, provides direct assistance to entrepreneurs and advocates for the needs of these entrepreneurs with partner organizations in the state-funded Entrepreneur Services Provider (ESP) network.

Prior to taking on this role, Ron was Assistant Director for Emerging Technology Centers, a venture of the Baltimore Development Corporation focused on the incubation and acceleration for early-stage technology-based startups. Before this, he served as a Neighborhood Legal Fellow and a Neighborhood 360 Fellow with the NYC Department of Small Business Services, where he assisted with corporate governance and economic development research and program management.

Outside these positions, Ron has also designed and implemented financial models and strategic plans for a variety of colleges, financial institutions, non-profit organizations, political campaigns and foreign governments. Additionally, he is a published thought-leader on topics of diversity equity and inclusion and has traveled both nationally and internationally to speak on these topics, as well as overall startup incubation and financial management.

Ron is a proud alum of Morehouse College. He also holds a master’s in Management Science and Engineering from the Stanford University School of Engineering and a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law, where he was a Jacobson Law and Business Scholar and graduated with distinction as a Vanderbilt Medal winner.

Heather Hall
Jumpstart, Entrepreneur-in-Residence

Heather Hall is the Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Software and IT, partnering with entrepreneurs across Northeast Ohio. Tasked with supporting GLIDE, Youngstown Business Incubator, Bounce Innovation Hub and Jumpstart, Heather works with companies as they evolve from idea to application, develop go-to-market plans and launch their products.

Additionally, Heather is tasked with coaching entrepreneurs on critical areas of the startup cycle including fundraising and revenue generation.

Prior to joining Jumpstart in October of 2018, Heather made a career of building and growing technology teams. Having worked at startups in both Ohio and New Jersey, Fortune 500 companies like Lucent Technologies New Ventures, Acxiom and AT&T New Ventures, as well as a boutique management consulting firm that partners with some of the largest private equity firms in the world, she’s developed global experience developing scalable business models. With a heavy focus on what it takes to drive a deal to close, she developed a unique perspective on the concept of “revenue management” and the corresponding strategies and tactics necessary to grow and thrive throughout the company lifecycle, including market ideation, sales strategy and go-to-market positioning for both business to business and business to consumer-focused companies.

Heather attended Saint Louis University, where she received dual degrees in Political Science and History.

Adam Salon
Jumpstart, Partner, Entrepreneurial Services

Adam is the partner of entrepreneurial services for JumpStart’s Northwest Ohio office. He is responsible for all services and resources provided to our tech and non-tech entrepreneurs and business owners. He is heavily involved in entrepreneur engagement, collaborator and partner relations and deal flow management.

Adam also runs Sabo Investments, which provides growth capital for small businesses, including asset back lending, private equity and securing nontraditional sources of funding. He has started several businesses, served as a venture investor and experienced multiple exits. Adam also worked as an entrepreneur-in-residence at The University of Toledo’s Launchpad.

Adam is head lacrosse coach at St. John’s Jesuit High School and previously coached football at Bowling Green State University, Northwestern University and The University of Toledo. He also coached high school football.

Adam earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Wabash College.

One of the certainties of startup life is pitching.  Be it for capital customers, or recruitment, pitches are a critical part of the business. People are always eager to practice pitching for this reason.  With the shift from the conference room to Zoom, nailing your story (slides and narrative) and delivery are even more vital than ever.  

To help with that, JumpStart’s Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs) are offering slots where entrepreneurs who are developing a technology-based product practice pitching. 

We’ll help you with delivering, refining, and clarifying your message. Additionally, we’ll provide recommendations on how to impactfully connecting with a digital audience so that you can get the money, customers, or employees that your business needs.
