Join on HopinMidTown Cleveland Inc. will host a 45 minute panel discussion on the HTC Innovation District & Placemaking, with MidTown Cleveland Executive Director Jeffery Epstein and Baiju R. Shah, CEO of BioMotiv, followed by a 15 minute q&a. Strengthening the connection between people and places, placemaking is a collaborative process that pays particular attention to the physical, cultural, and social identities that define a place to support its ongoing evolution.
The HTC is a 1,600 acre area spanning the heart of Cleveland’s east side, connecting Cleveland’s vibrant Downtown to its cultural hub of University Circle. The opportunities for business attraction to Cleveland by partnering with the area’s leading health & tech institutions are tremendous and have resulted in over 1,800 new jobs, 500,000 square feet of new or renovated office and lab space, and over $4 billion of investment since 2008.
Building on the success of the HTC, we’re creating a new center for Cleveland’s innovation economy adjacent to the future Cleveland Foundation HQ on Euclid Avenue & East 66th Street, in a partnership with Wexford Science and Technology as the master developer for this new innovation community in MidTown. Virtual Presentation of New Technology Startups from Northeast Ohio
Join on EventbriteThe University of Akron Research Foundation (UARF) in partnership with the Innovation Research Interchange (IRI) is pleased to present a portfolio of new high potential start up companies from Northeast Ohio, showcasing technologies on topics addressing interests of IRI members. We hope that IRI members will identify collaboration opportunities with these companies and the academic institutions that they represent. Ample time for Q/A ‘s and follow up discussions will be provided. We hope that success of this initial program will be followed by quarterly virtual presentations of new university startups in technologies of interest to IRI members.
