Lightning Talk | AI-Based Neural Insights

Room 101

Dexter Ang
Pison, Executive Chairman and Founder

Dexter Ang is the founder of Pison. Ang is the lead for engagements with government stakeholders and the ALS Association and is a SME for the Augmented Reality Enterprise Alliance (AREA). He has 12 patents on the underlying Pison electroneurography (ENG) technology and user experiences. Prior to founding the company, Ang worked as a senior trader specializing in signal processing and low latency communication at Jump Trading—a market leader in high-frequency trading. During his eight-year tenure there, Ang led a $40million PnL. He has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and was an Advanced Studies Fellow at the Media Lab and Sloan.

His technical expertise spans mechanical engineering, signal processing, and low latency computing. He is an inventor on 11 issued and 10 pending patents.

ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease, has a devastating effect on quality of life. What began as an effort to help ALS patients control their extremities with digital interfaces has evolved into a patented electroneurography platform that allows for first-of-its-kind intuitive control of any experience in the IoT universe.

In this Lightning Talk, hear founder Dexter Ang talk about the breakthrough Pison platform. Pison leverages machine learning to interpret the intent of the microvoltage that courses through the human body when our brains communicate with our muscle systems. The applications ahead? Sophisticated prosthetics. Touchless robotics. Sensitive interfaces. Smart(er) home controls. And so much more.
