The focus of this session is on how a mid-large size city plans and supports a large scale community festival in just six months from conception to reality. How the city balanced roles as a festival sponsor and partner while also serving as the permitting agency will be highlighted. Lastly, evaluating city expenses and economic impact resulting from the inaugural festival set the stage for what the 2020 Something in the Water Festival may bring.
