Indigenization and Decolonization in Business

Cascade Room, SUB Lower Level

Equity. Empowerment. Respect. Community.

Our Mission:

The Indigenous Business Students’ Association strives to empower Indigenous students in business by bridging the gap between indigenous peoples and the Canadian business industry.

Our goal is to enrich the Alberta School of Business experience by providing all students with the opportunities to contribute to and learn from the indigenous business community in various sectors.

The Indigenous Ways of Knowing:

The Indigenous Ways of Knowing drive our mission, vision, and values. The term describes the incredible diversity of the Indigenous ways of learning and teaching. The Indigenous Business Students’ Association hopes to spread awareness and increase understanding of the many cultures and varying knowledge existing across different Indigenous communities.

Attendees will gain an understanding of how to see their business or profession from a decolonial perspective, what it means to decolonize business and success, and how to apply a framework conducive to social change in the workplace. The panel will begin with a set of pre-prepared questions for the panellists, followed by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and connect with the panellists.
