Jewish Chronicles: Daniel Cainer in Concert with Special Guest Chava Mirel

Zoom 4

Limmud Festival favourite, London based, multi-award winning musical storyteller, master songwriter, composer, performer and broadcaster. Composer of music for TV, radio, theatre, temples and the occasional car-launch as well as a veteran of five solo off-Broadway runs and performances real and virtual, all over the world!

Chava Mirel is a unique being in the world of music and spirit, defying classifications of style or genre. A multi-award winning musician and composer whose voice was recently featured on a Grammy award winning album, Chava is highly sought-after for collaborations and recordings. Celebrated for her rich, luxurious vocals, lush harmonies, and rhythmic phrasing, Chava is also known for her loving and compassionate presence. Regardless of setting - spiritual gathering, concert hall, classroom or jazz club - she imbues her music and teachings with the universal themes of hope, caring, connection and inclusion. Chava’s latest original album, “Source of Love”, is a collection of songs set to prayers from the Jewish Liturgy as well as new songs with universal themes that encourage the listener to create a better future by focusing on nature, family, and spirituality.

Excerpts from Londoner Dan’s off-Broadway one-person show… and more! Smart, funny, and timely, Cainer’s deeply moving tales about his family and observational comedy are a joy. Brilliant rhyming and wordplay, great musicianship and haunting tunes you won’t forget. His songs and his music are for anyone who has ever wrestled with their home, their heritage and their heart (and is partial to bagels). Dan's songs have been performed by the stars of stage and screen in the UK and by the leading lights of Jewish music in the US. Hear them today from the horse's mouth, so to speak. Presented in high definition and stereo high fidelity! For this special Limmud collection Daniel will be joined by one of those leading lights: the hugely talented, Chava Mirel. You’ll laugh, you'll cry, you'll have more fun than you've ever had with your clothes on since lock down began (or ended). Guaranteed.
