Engaging the Next Generation of Jews Through Media
Born and raised in the Peg, Avi spent his early career working in the Winnipeg Jewish educational community as a camp director, Hillel Director and teacher at Gray Academy. With stops along his educational journey in Jerusalem and New York, he now lives in Haifa with his wife Illana and daughter Lielle (and dog Kobe) where he works as the assistant director of education for OpenDor Media/Unpacked, a leading global Jewish educational media company. Avi creates content and educational resources for Jewish educators around the world from across the religious and political spectrum. He currently facilitates a global partner school program for 70 Jewish schools from 11 countries who are intimately using the resources. Interesting fact: Avi was the first Limmud Winnipeg Coordinator back in 2011.
