Rabbi Judy Ginsburgh
B'nai Israel, Rabbi

Rabbi Judy Ginsburgh is the part-time Rabbi at B’nai Israel in Monroe, LA.  She is also a well-known Jewish musician with many recordings available everywhere music is sold.  She is a certified vibrational healer and runs two non-profit organizations.  Judy lives in Alexandria with Bob, her husband of 41 years.  They have three grown and employed children, six grandchildren and three grand dogs.

Rabbi Sydni Rubinstein
Agudath Achim, Rabbi
Rabbi Sydni is a recent Shreveport transplant from Los Angeles, California. Previously, she has served as a spiritual leader and teacher at Jewish organizations such as Ohr Shalom Synagogue (San Diego, California), IKAR (Los Angeles), and B’nai B’rith Camp (Neotsu, Oregon). Rabbi Sydni earned her BA in Music from Swarthmore College and received her ordination and MA in Rabbinic Studies from the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies. Between degrees, she spent two years engaging in intensive exploration of Jewish text at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. Rabbi Sydni especially enjoys teaching and learning about Jewish approaches to self-care, the status of women in Jewish law, and Biblical notions of love of God. When she is not at Agudath Achim, you may find her practicing yoga, playing piano, or spending time with her husband and best friend, Rabbi Feivel, and their two dogs Buddy and Jax.

In a normal year, LimmudFest includes a full weekend of services for all denominations in addition to the days of learning. We decided not to offer LimmudFest-specific services this year, but this Havdalah session will be a perfect taste of spirituality in our shortened event. Featuring Rabbis, Cantors, and other Jewish leaders from across the Gulf South, we will come together (virtually) to sing, pray, learn, and kick-off LimmudFest 2021!
