Cardiac anesthesiologists face a number of claims on their time, including clinical work, administrative responsibilities, and familial obligations. Effective time management is key to success. This lecture will provide helpful tips for the busy cardiac anesthesiologist to navigate his or her time, including goal setting, goal alignment, and “inbox” management. Lastly, this lecture will discuss the importance of the artful declination of tasks that do not align with personal goals.
