Objective: Overview of Basic TTE exam but also with comparative TEE images to allow familiarity and note distinctions for participants.

 

Title: Ultrasound for Evaluation of Hypoxia/Dyspnea

Speakers: Sheela Pai Cole, MD, Vidya Rao, MD

Objective: To be able to assess presence of pneumothorax, pulmonary edema and other lung pathologies 

 

Title: FAST Examination and Gastric Ultrasound

Speakers: Laeben Lester, MD, Ravi Joshi, MD

Objective: To familiarize with Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma and aid use to guide clinical decision-making.

 

Title: FOCUS Cardiac Examination

Speakers: Max Meineri, MD, Ben Tuck, MD

Objective: To aid diagnosis of acute pathologies such as pericardial effusion or tamponade, pulmonary embolism and ventricular dysfunction in the setting of undifferentiated shock or hypotension 

 

Title: Rescue Echo

Objective: To apply the PoCUS concepts in a case based manner.

 

 

 

Title: Vascular Access and portable/handheld devices

Objective: To understand the ways POCUS can help with vascular access and in which sites, and how the application of portable or handheld devices aids in this.
