So, your song is all baked and almost release ready but it’s missing a little something…

Like sprinkles on ice cream, ear candy elevates a track by creating unexpected yet exciting moments that give depth to the production and arrangement. In this session, Dresage will show you the different ways she uses to create a dynamic track through automation, creative sample processing and effective ear candy sprinkling. Get your production sweet tooth on!

Little Monarch (Casey Kalmenson)
Artist, writer, producer, multi-instrumentalist & educator

While the LoFi vibe sounds easy and accessible to listeners, recreating it is a whole different story. Between nailing the cross-genre referencing to tastefully curating a nostalgic feeling, capturing that low-fidelity production is a uniquely creative process.

In this session, Little Monarch will show you her tips and tricks on how to nail that  dusty vinyl vibe from both a songwriting and production perspective.

Do you know the difference between an Overdrive, Distortion, and Saturator? In this masterclass, we will explore using these effects in unconventional ways! You will learn interesting techniques to thicken and add warmth to your sound using the appropriate FX.

Susan Rogers
Producer, Engineer & Mixer

Have you ever asked yourself this question and struggled to describe why your mix is not ‘there’ yet?

Before we even get started with exploring mixing techniques, we need to first talk about Technical Ear Training. It is crucial (and handy) to train your ears to not only identify frequency ranges, but also develop the right vocabulary to describe sound (aka … the issues). In this session, we will focus on how to develop core listening skills for mixing, and the tools to get these muscles in shape.

We know it’s all about creating space in your mix, but what are some of the essential techniques to achieve this?  You know … the foundation to making your beat groovier … or accentuating that pumping sensation in your song. You don't want to miss out on these simple, yet extremely effective and handy tools to Marie Kondo the space in your mix … well sonically at least.
