How does Speed Mentoring work?

Each pairing is 6 minutes long, during which each mentee will present their pitch and/or ask any questions to the assigned mentor.

Within this hour-long session, there will be a total of 5 pairings. Each mentee will get to meet (and have 1-on-1 chat) with 5 mentors in an hour.

Please check out all mentor profiles ahead of the session to allow for succinct and specific questions.

What do I need to bring?

  • A device to connect you to zoom
  • A pair of headphones/ear pods

How many mentoring sessions can I attend?

ONE! There is a total of 4 mentorship sessions:

  • 2 sessions on Aug 11 (Thursday)
  • 2 sessions on Aug 12 (Friday)

Due to limited spaces for each mentorship session, each participant can only sign up for one KMD Pro mentorship session.

What do you need to prepare?

Read up on all mentor’s profiles before the session and have your questions/ pitch prepared. Since pairing are set up randomly, have a solid pitch and a set of questions prepared to make the best out of this session!

“Why is my mix not radio ready … yet?”
Susan Rogers
Susan Rogers
Producer, Engineer & Mixer

Have you ever asked yourself this question and struggled to describe why your mix is not ‘there’ yet?

Before we even get started with exploring mixing techniques, we need to first talk about Technical Ear Training. It is crucial (and handy) to train your ears to not only identify frequency ranges, but also develop the right vocabulary to describe sound (aka … the issues). In this session, we will focus on how to develop core listening skills for mixing, and the tools to get these muscles in shape.
