Brett Hurt is the CEO and Co-founder of data.world, which is building the most meaningful, collaborative, and abundant data resource in the world as a Certified B Corp.  He is also a seed-stage investor at Hurt Family Investments (HFI) in partnership with his wife, Debra.  HFI are involved in 53 startups and 12 VC funds.  HFI has directly made 42 startup investments, and Brett has also joined the Advisory Board of 11 additional companies.  Prior to HFI, Brett founded Bazaarvoice (NASDAQ: BV) and served as CEO and President for 7½ years, leading the company from bootstrapped concept to almost 2,000 clients worldwide and through its successful IPO.  He subsequently guided the company through a successful follow-on offering and two acquisitions, PowerReviews and Longboard Media.  Prior to Bazaarvoice, Brett founded Coremetrics and helped grow the company into a global, leading marketing analytics solution for the eCommerce industry before its acquisition by IBM.

Miguel Garza is co-founder and CEO of Siete Family Foods, an Austin-based company that makes better-for-you Mexican-American products including grain-free tortillas, chips, dips and hot sauces. They are part of the 19% of U.S. small businesses that are family-owned. Garza co-founded Siete in 2014 with his older sister Veronica and their mother, Aida. Under Miguel’s leadership, their store distribution has doubled from approximately 4,000 to more than 8,000 since getting $90 million in funding from Stripes Group. Siete's products are sold in grocery stores across the country, including Whole Foods where its almond flour tortilla is the chain’s No. 1 selling tortilla nationwide in addition to its grain free tortilla chip being the No. 1 selling salty snack nationwide. At Siete, their first core value is “family first, family second, business third,” and the company has maintained that commitment to family and community while nearly doubling in size each year.
