John Burris is President of MetaJuice and the Chief Strategy/Blockchain Officer Together Labs.

For Together Labs, I am a high-tech executive that has spent his career building and growing new businesses. I have consistently led both venture backed start-ups and divisions of public companies through periods of dramatic growth. This track record is driven by self-selecting into high growth industries, building driven teams that know how to compete and focusing execution where it will lead to success.

Over the preceding 20 years, I have been fortunate to work with great people in several very high growth industries. I started as an engineer with a global consulting firm that placed me at Netscape to code just as the first internet browsers were coming to market – this was before Netscape's IPO that changed everything for me. I next attended Harvard Business School, dropping out with one semester left to found an ecommerce platform venture that was sold three years later.

After returning/completing HBS, I joined Sprint just as the first app centric, camera phones were hitting the US market. I led product, business development and marketing teams across a number of quickly transforming industries: media, music, sports, gaming, social, messaging, data plans, etc. We led all wireless carriers in data users, usage and revenue; and built a “wireless data services” P&L with annual revenue topping $5 Billion.

After Sprint and an Executive in Residence stint at Trinity Ventures, I joined two accomplished executives out of Chicago to found what would become Silver Chalice – an entity deploying capital of a pro sports ownership group. Over the next nine years, we built a number of high-tech, sports and media businesses; structured joint-ventures with massive rights holders and entertained several exit opportunities.
