Sly Spencer Lee is a first generation Asian American entrepreneur whose journey is deeply influenced by his upbringing in Mississippi and work in developing countries. He is co-founder & co-CEO of Emerge, a Los Angeles-based company building a platform for touch in the metaverse. Emerge’s purpose is to create a future where distance and time don’t stand in the way of feeling present. 

Sly draws his passion for sustainable and equitable design from his experience founding The Hydrous, an oceans education non-profit backed by the United Nations, Meta, Google, Autodesk, and the Smithsonian. He is co-chair for the World Economic Forum Global Future Council for AR/VR, a Forbes 30 Under 30 class of 2018 recipient, a recent student of Daoism, and can be found surfing the coast of southern California some mornings.
