Menka Sethi joined American Battery technology company in September of 2020. She leads strategy, policy, operations, marketing, communications, public relations, compliance, branding, and facility operations to scale American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) into a commercial scale clean technology platform that increases supply of rare lithium-battery metals in the United States and beyond.

She is creating and leading ABTC’s five-part operational approach that 1) Secures supply chains 2) Addresses climate change 3) Empowers people and place 4) “Greens'' the industry and 5) evolves regulatory frameworks and growth of clean manufacturing jobs in Nevada and beyond.

From 2016-2020, Menka served as Director of Location Strategy and Site Optimization at Facebook, where she led the company’s global location strategies to scale the company in a way that works for Facebook and local communities alike, while deploying $1B in direct housing investments and $100MM towards California housing policy reform across the coming decade.

She is a licensed architect and received her Bachelor of Architecture (1999) from Carnegie Mellon University and M.B.A (2005) from Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Menka is also an Adjunct professor at California Polytechnic University, teaching courses in real estate finance, affordable housing development, and housing policy.
