Luis Vanegas

Luis Vanegas is the founder and executive director of Escuela Exitos, a free, K-8 dual language (English/Spanish) immersion school in New Hope. He has more than three decades experience in education, having spent the last 14 years as a bilingual school administrator. Before founding Escuela Exitos, Vanegas worked with five different turnaround schools, helping create educational environments where students could thrive. Originally from Nicaragua, Vanegas seeks to develop bilingual, bi-literate and multicultural students who have an appreciation for diversity, equity, integration and inclusion. His approach centers around providing all learners, including English Language Learners, the opportunities to succeed by through innovation, technology, new strategies and providing family/community support.
