He works with business owners and entrepreneurs on business formation, equity financings, mergers & acquisitions, employment and consulting contracts, corporate governance and other general corporate needs. Brett started his banking career in 2008. That career started with a little over 8 years at Wells Fargo, holding a variety of experiences in different areas of the Bank. John is a Tax Partner at Eide Bailly and has been with the firm for over 15 years. John works with clients to manage an ever-increasingly complex tax environment. Whether that means handling tax return preparation or providing assistance of strategic importance, John eases the burden associated with understanding and dealing with complex tax issues. When he's away from work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He also is a competitive racquetball player and competes annually in a national racquetball tournament.

Loralee Wick
Salo, Senior Managing Director

When it comes to Salo’s finance function, hardly anybody knows it better than Loralee Wick. Loralee has spent more than a decade working for Salo in a variety of finance-related roles. After starting as a finance consultant, she became a Salo business development director (BDD) and rose up the ranks. Today, Loralee is senior managing director, finance for our two biggest markets—Minneapolis and Chicago, where she drives growth and ensures opportunities for our consultants.

Before Salo, Loralee worked at EY as a manager in expatriate tax services, Sanofi Diagnostics Pasteur as assistant controller, and Deloitte as a senior accountant. She earned her accounting degree at the University of Minnesota Duluth and completed graduate coursework at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. She is a certified public accountant (inactive).

Loralee is currently a finance committee member for The Arc Minnesota, an organization that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In the past, Loralee has been a board member for HandsOn Twin Cities and served as treasurer for Companies to Classrooms.

David Russick
Gopher Angels, Managing Director

David Russick – bio

David Russick is an established entrepreneur and angel investor. Russick is co-founder, Managing Director, and Board Member of Gopher Angels, an investment organization dedicated to supporting entrepreneurship and early stage businesses in the state of Minnesota and throughout the Midwest.

Russick was also founder and CEO of TUBS, Inc., a family owned waste and recycling business operating in the Twin Cities, Denver and Cleveland,

Russick co-founded Bagster, LLC, a nationwide waste services company. He served as President and Board Member prior to Bagster’s acquisition by a Fortune 500 company.

In addition, Russick serves on the Board of Advisors for the Dakota Venture Group, a student managed angel fund. David is an advisor and co-teaches the Atland Fund. The Atlund Fund is a student managed early stage fund within the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

Russick has been featured in the “Star Tribune,” “Twin Cities Business,” and the “Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal.” “Twin Cities Business” named him a “2014 People to Know – Finance.” In 2010, Bagster was named by “Ad Age” as one of the 10 Hottest Brands in the U.S. TUBS, Inc. was selected by City Business in 1998 as a “50 Fastest Growing Private Company.” Russick is a patent holder.

Russick is a graduate of the University of South Dakota. He earned a Master of International Management degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management with extension studies at Oxford University, Oxford England.

Recently, David has served as a growth strategy consultant for several startups.
