Wynne Reece
The Creative's Counsel by Reece Law, P.L.L.C., Partner

Hard work, passion, success and tireless support for others. In less than 4 years, Wynne started two successful businesses and at just 30 years old, she successfully sold one of them to devote her energy to a legal niche, The Creative's Counsel® by Reece Law, P.L.L.C.. The Creative's Counsel® focuses on supporting business owners, by offering affordable and approachable legal work, with counsel they can relate to. She founded the firm in 2013 and to date their team has worked with over 900 businesses in an outside counsel capacity, focusing on anything from contracts, to intellectual property, to growth strategy and acquisition. All this time, Wynne continues to organize and partake in philanthropic ventures in our community, complete over 150 pro bono hours per year including founding a pro bono legal clinic in North Minneapolis and scholarship program, teach as Adjunct faculty at Mitchell Hamline law school, and serve on a number of committees. You will often find Wynne speaking at events in support of other business owners or missions that are important to Reece Law, such as entrepreneurship, community development, anti-bullying and equality. She has been recognized as: 2017 35 & Under Entrepreneurs; 2017 BWC Finalist: Excelling in a Male Dominated Industry; 2018 Hands on Twin Cities Volunteer of the Year; 2018 MSBA High School Mock Trial Volunteer of the Year; and is consistently a North Star Lawyer; 2019-21 SuperLawyer Rising Star; 2020; Finance and Commerce Young Professional Award; 2020-21 Top Women Lawyers and is consistently a North Star Lawyer.

In her free time, you can find Wynne on some adventure with her husband, son and two Golden Doodles, engulfed in a passion project, traveling to a wonderful place (most often in Canada), cozying up by a fire with a cribbage board and glass of whiskey, or catching up on the latest episodes of her favorite shows.

We all bring certain challenges to the systems that we join. Personality clashes, individual anxieties and differing world-views can create tension, miscommunication and conflict. In the startup/tech world, interpersonal and personal difficulties can inhibit growth, decelerate progress, and invite the downfall of an otherwise promising venture.

Join Wynne Reece, founder of The Creative's Counsel® and Jen Labanowski, LMFT co-founder of Good Human Work, for a candid conversation about the difficulties of finding and maintaining emotional, relational and mental wellbeing within the startup/tech community. Wynne and Jen will share their experiences, observations and insights about struggles and stigma that are commonly experienced in the startup world. Jen will also offer skills and strategies for recovering from burnout, improving emotional and relational health, and increasing healthy communication.
