Mike Trewartha
Parsyl, Senior Engineering Manager

I'm an engineering manager at Parsyl, a Denver-based startup focusing on insight, efficiency, and transparency in the supply chain. These days, I'm 100% focused on our Android and iOS apps. In my past, I worked at GoSpotCheck, TW Telecom, and Lockheed Martin working on mobile apps, data engineering, frontend applications, and backend applications/APIs.

Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) is a great new approach to sharing code across mobile platforms. There are lots of elementary examples to teach developers the benefits and basics of usage. However, there isn't much material that guides developers through the choices they'll encounter as they start to use KMM in real, diverse apps. We'll highlight some of the most common choices developers will encounter, propose framing to help them understand their options and make strong, informed decisions, and give some examples of decisions that have worked well for us at Parsyl.
