Sarah recently received a compliment from a client who called her, “The Business Culture Doctor.” It’s the perfect description of what Sarah strives to accomplish in her role as CEO of The People Brand Company – to create work cultures where people WANT to go to work.

Sarah’s company, The People Brand Company, doesn’t believe people are separate from the brand. They ARE the brand. Sarah works with leaders and employees alike to increase engagement and create awareness of the vital part they play in delivering consistent and relevant customer experiences.

Sarah has learned that the driving force for being innovative, collaborative and customer-centric is clarity of purpose. She states: “Sustained growth and profitability can only be achieved when everyone in the organization is committed to building a strong brand.” Sarah’s clients have included Delta Air Lines, Disney, Thrivent Financial, and Apple Autos Group

Heather Manley
On-Demand Group/Crooked Water Spirits, Founder

In 2013, Heather founded Crooked Water Spirits, an award-winning national spirits line that produces unique craft spirits, including bourbons, gins, vodkas, brandy, and ready-to-pour old fashioned, boulevardier, and negroni.These ‘spirits of the North’ can be found in seven states and over 500 liquor stores, restaurants, and airlines, gathering over 60 awards nationally.

Heather purchased On Demand Group, a technology consulting company and family business, in 2008 with her brother, Sean Manley. They have since led the organization through significant growth and expanded ODG’s business clientele to reach global markets by offering offshore solutions in Southeast Asia.

Nancy Lyons
Clockwork, CEO

CEO, author, and speaker, Nancy Lyons has been at the forefront of the work culture conversation for more than twenty years. “People-first as a business strategy” is the guiding principle that fuels the unique, award-winning culture at Clockwork. Nancy has led employees and clients through thousands of business, team, and work culture challenges. As a digital veteran, she has witnessed the dramatic change technology brought to both businesses and people, and yet also sees people and companies struggling to figure out how to adapt.

She speaks and writes about the crucial role work culture plays in delivering meaningful and effective results. Work culture — our feelings, behaviors, and interactions — is core to how we work. It’s a primary determinant of personal and professional success. Nancy has watched people go from being a victim of work to being the agent of work with simple shifts.

Thompson Aderinkomi is the cofounder and CEO of Nice Healthcare, a technology enabled primary care clinic that serves patients in their homes. He has a a B.S. in Economics, an M.S. in Statistics and an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management He has been married for 16 years and lives with his wife and two sons in NE Minneapolis.

Alexis Walsko
Lola Red PR, Owner

Alexis is the founder, Chief Executive Officer & Visionary at Lola Red. She founded the agency at 22 years of age and has since established Lola Red as an award-winning and nationally recognized PR firm. In 2019 she oversaw the addition of a team and office in Denver, Colorado. In 2015, she oversaw the addition of Lola Pro, a division of Lola Red that represents professional athletes including NFL Man of the Year nominee Kyle Rudolph and NHL King Clancy recipient Jason Zucker. In her role as Visionary, Alexis nurtures the agency’s passion for hustling on behalf of its clients. Alexis has received numerous accolades, including as both a “Women in Business” and “40 under 40” award recipient from Biz Journals, “Young Entrepreneur” and “Founder of the Year” award from the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Volunteer of the Year from Smile Network International. She is also recognized as one of the top 500 business people in the Twin Cities.

FuckUp Nights is a global movement born in Mexico in 2012 to share public business failure stories with hundreds of people attending each event around the world. Every few months speakers will be invited to talk about their FuckUp stories; we’ll learn about their biggest mistakes, what they learned, how they moved on- all whilst sharing invaluable advice along the way. 

We’re here to break down stigmas, and amplify the message that failure is healthy and essential to learning and growing. Fuckup Nights Twin Cities events feature a safe space, captivating speakers, and a community of people open to embracing failure and the balance it brings to Minnesota. We will have four speakers joining us virtually to share their fuckup stories. *Note: This is not a kid friendly event, headphones are encouraged!
